Mongol and Buryat DNA

Hello everyone,

My name is ramber. I am the newest member here. The reason I join this board is because I am very much interest in DNA and genetics in general. I am very interest in the DNA of Mongols and Buryats and want to ask Yungsibeyu, who seems to have great knowledge of genetics about this topic. This is because most Mongolians (Outer Mongolians) don't seem to really have any knowledge regarding genetics and DNA.

Most DNA results show Mongols and Buryats to have West Eurasian Caucasian Admixture. What I want to ask is are there any pure Mongol and Buryat individuals who are 100% pure Asian without any West Eurasian admixture? If such individuals exist, what percentage would you estimate the number of such individuals out of all Mongols and Buryats?

Can you please answer my question?
And can my post be direct to Yungsibeyu or any other member who have knowledge of Mongolian DNA in general?

I will be very grateful and appreciate your answers.

Hen Duo Xie,

ramber
Hello ramber,

sorry, why I've just seen this post...

Actually we have quite a lot of core Mongolian as well as Buriyad samples, but we haven't tested their autosomes yet. It would be interesting to know that.

But anyway, whether western Eurasian admixture exist is not so absolute, and highly dependent on how one defines "pure" Asian and what populations one uses as the reference.

Hi, have you found the answer yet, because I seemed to have the same problem with you.
100% pure Asian without any West Eurasian admixture?
In fact,  I think as a tribe Mongols and Buryats is unique. And this unique is composed by their Asian genes and European genes.
I don't know what your "100%" means. If a man with "100%" Asian genes, does he belong to  Mongols and Buryats?
In my opinion, An Asian lives in American, he is still an Asian.
Just some personal opinions.

Only homogeneous marriages can get pure species, but such nations are very rear today. And peoples are aggregated by cultures, tones, economics, politics, etc, rather than consanguinities sometimes.
